![]() ![]() I am referring to rates such as PTC as that is all I have ever gotten. ![]() If one person in the room qualifies for the rate, the entire room gets the reduced fare. No where in the reservation does it say that all parties must be 18 or older or have to participate in the casino. Hypothetical example: I have a casino rate and my son who is under 18 does not and we are booked in the same room. Not if only one person has the rate and the other one doesn't. Two are expected to play in the casino not one. I know the other person wouldn't be eligible for the casino cash as only the cruiser that qualifies for it has to show ID and sign for it at the cage.Ĭasino rate are also linked to casino play. I'm not sure which the OP was asking about - either the cruises where you pay just taxes and port fees, a very small amount for the room plus taxes and fees, or just a reduced rate such as PTC usually with a little casino cash. There are other casino rates besides the free rooms. Often our cruise fare is only half as much as our flights. It would be upsetting if you had to fly in for the cruise. Though, yes, I would also be irate if this happened to me and it was genuine that my friend invited me, I paid my room fees and taxes and then got stock with hundreds of dollars more in fare because my friend no showed. so it makes sense that the promotion is only extended if that person is on the ship. They offer the free rooms to people who gamble large dollar amounts regularly when they cruise. Otherwise anyone who gets the "free room" offer could give it away (or even sell it) simply by booking and no showing. It's possible they would really do this to keep people from giving their free casino rooms to others.
